Sat & Sun 9am – 5pm
Currently, the public are invited to our Plano indoor range, we have suspended public access during the winter.
MARCH 1ST….The Elm Fork archery range will be reopened to the public during ALL operating hours. The public and all shooters/members will be required to check-in at the Shotgun Pro Shop before accessing the range. Members will show TAC ID for free access, the public (includes guests of member) will pay a $10 range fee – a range ID wristband will be issued to you and must be worn while on range. Elm Fork Marshal will ask violators to leave!
Note: Loaner equipment is available to members at no extra charge, as available in the shed. Public may rent equipment for $10 at the Elm Fork Shotgun Pro Shop. Damage Policy: A charge of $3 per arrow lost or not-shootable will be due upon return.
The public are asked to read the range safety rules and range certify at 10 yards (5 of 6 arrows hit 12″ target) on our Form Wall before shooting at the other ranges. Children should be with parent at all times! There is a Kid’s Range within the Practice Range, in addition to developing their skills at the Form Wall. Basic instruction is available through visual displays posted on the Instruction Range or during a scheduled Intro to Archery Class.
Parking
Parking is restricted to the Shotgun Sports parking lot. If you would like to rent a golf cart, these are checked out at the Shotgun Pro Shop.
If you have a Handicapped vehicle license you may park at the loading area next to the Practice Range (during the weekdays, too busy on weekend days).
If you have a lot of gear or supplies for a project or event, you may drive to the Practice Range area and drop them off. Then you will need to move your vehicle to the parking lot. There is a lot of golf cart and ATV traffic on the path to the archery area, and its safer for everyone if traffic from full-size vehicles is minimized.
Bathrooms
The Shotgun Sports Clubhouse has real restrooms and a changing/shower room that you are welcome to use. There is a porta-potty in the archery area as well.
