Ranges Now Open!  Hours Have Been Expanded!

Here's what you need to know:

New, Expanded Range Hours for TAC Members and their Guests (note that these differ from the hours for the Elm Fork Shotgun/Rifle/Pistol ranges and pro shops):

     Monday       Closed

     Tuesday      Closed

     Wed - Fri     9am - 8pm

     Sat & Sun   8am - 8pm

Hours that the TAC Range is also open to the Public:

              Saturdays              9am – 12pm  (cost is $10 per person or $20 for a family)

              [In order to have full time access you must join Texins Archery Club]

Note:  We have loaner equipment available at no extra charge, both recurve and Genesis compound bows, so you do not need to have your own gear.  Just show up and shoot!

Parking

Parking is restricted to the Shotgun Sports parking lot. If you have a Handicapped vehicle license you may park at the loading area next to the Practice Range.

If you have a lot of gear or supplies for a project or event, you may drive to the Practice Range area and drop them off.  Then you will need to move your vehicle to the parking lot.  There is a lot of golf cart and ATV traffic on the path to the archery area, and its safer for everyone if traffic from full-size vehicles is minimized.

Proper ID is required!

TAC members will be issued a red lanyard to which their TAC membership card must be attached.  While using the archery facilities you must wear your lanyard; this gives the EF staff an easy visual indicator that you are an authorized shooter.  Get your lanyard from Bob or a Range Officer on a Saturday, or from the storage shed on the Practice Range (this shed has the same combo lock as before).

Public shooters will be issued a blue lanyard and temporary card when they sign-in.

    TAC Guests must be accompanied by the TAC Member when they are shooting

    Unauthorized users will be asked to leave the archery area by Elm Fork personnel

Sign-In Process

TAC members, please sign-in at the bulletin board when you shoot. Public shooters must sign-in with Range Officer on duty at the Practice Range to pay fee, receive orientation, etc.  You do not need to check in at the Shotgun Pro-Shop; proceed directly to the archery area.

TAC Guests and Public shooters must sign a TAC Waiver of Liability.

TAC Guests are to pay a $5 per person fee; please place the fee in the deposit safe by the bulletin board on the Practice Range.

 Also.....

The Shotgun Sports Clubhouse has real restrooms and a changing/shower room that you are welcome to use.  There is a porta-potty in the archery area as well.
