TexasArcheryAcademy.org offers  instruction and learning path of archery training programs for the developing archer at our 30,000sf indoor range.

Our club offers the public and members several ways to begin exploring archery:

1) Public use on Saturdays 9am-noon at Elm Fork

ARCHERY PARK “FUN SHOOT”: Discover Archery! We supply the equipment and supervision for you to start. Enjoy shooting for 30 minutes for $10. Limited to Training Range/Form Wall.

GUEST PASS:  You are welcome to use your own equipment after review by range officer. Use of Practice Range and 3D Range only.

The Plano indoor range is open to the public T-Sun 11am-7pm. Range pass and fun shoot available everyday. Daily Range Pass:  $20 range fee (CASH) (equipment included for 2 hours – $10.00 discount if equipment is not needed) – must range certify for safety. 

2) Intro to Archery

Weekly Intro to Archery classes are also held indoors at the Plano indoor range.

 

3) Archery 101-201, (ASAP) After School Archery Program, and JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development).

Texins Dallas Junior Olympic Archery DevelopmentThe next step in developing your skills for all ages.Archery 101-201 are multi-session courses. Drop-in Clinics are held to work with a coach on structured drills to help the developing archer. Our JOAD Club is open to students ages 10 to 20. This program is designed as an ongoing supervised JOAD Team training session. Certified instructors and/or the Coach works with the students on USA Archery’s National Training System.

4) Private Instruction in a selection of archery styles:

5) League/Tournament Shoots

Texins Dallas League and Tournament Shoots Tournaments and leagues are hosted on a regular basis outdoors and indoors depending on format and weather.

6) Group Event Shoots (Youth & Adult). 

Texins Dallas Archery Birthday Party HostingTexins Dallas Archery Party HostingOur club does host events such as Birthday parties, and groups such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Indian Guides (Y-Guides) and Indian Princesses (Y-Princesses). We have lots of adult archery introduction classes also.

Our instructors are qualified for Boy Scout merit badge counseling. We offer a Saturday (9am to noon) merit badge seminar (by appointment) at our range for  troops that want to pass a class of scouts through the entire requirements. The cost is $25 per scout.  All equipment is provided. The scout is required to have read the merit badge pamphlet in advance, and complete the workbook test. We also host off-property events/fundraisers for your group. Choose between Intro to Archery format featuring balloons, a thirty target 3D tournament (alligator to dinosaur), or …  Contact Clint Montgomery to explore details.

 

7)  Club sponsored Seminars/Field Trips:

8) Community Programs

NASP (National Archery is the Schools Program). We supply facilities, equipment, and instructors to schools interested in teaching archery. This program is sponsored by Texas Parks & Wildlife. The On Target campaign provides portable archery ranges at public events – taking archery to the public!

9) Hunting Opportunities

Members receive internal email notice on club-organized hunting opportunities! Trips are normally club organized hunts – which include deer, hog, bowfishing, and bird.
